Okay, I got tired of recording everything on this page, so I started using dailymile.com. Here’s the latest:

Walking Training Log

Friday, November 5

Walked/jogged 4 miles. Jogged one lap around the track (1/4 mile) without stopping to walk.

Wednesday, November 3

Walked 4 miles.

Tuesday, November 2

Walked 2 miles with the kids. Briskly walked/jogged (including Podrunner Intervals Week 1) 4.5 miles. Didn’t feel like I was dying this time when I jogged. I think it’s mainly because I was using a level track, versus uphill last time I did it. Anyway, that gave me hope that maybe someday I’ll actually be able to move on to Week 2. Kinda felt goofy jogging, though, because I jog on my tiptoes. Always have. Don’t laugh. Okay, you can laugh. It does probably look funny.

Briskly walked 4 miles.

Briskly walked 4 miles.

Briskly walked 4 miles.

Walked ~1.75 miles with the kids.

Walked 4 miles in ~70 minutes.

Saturday, October 23

Walked briskly for 90 minutes.

Friday, October 22

Walked 1 mile with the kids and then 5.5 miles by myself in ~80 minutes. Total 6.5 miles!

Thursday, October 21

Walked 2 miles.

Wednesday, October 20

Walked briskly for 50 minutes.

Tuesday, October 19

Walked briskly for 50 minutes.

Monday, October 18

Did the first week of the Couch-to-5K program, and it whupped my tail! I used Podrunner music, which is nice because it helps you keep a brisk pace and also signals when you’re supposed to go from walking to jogging and vice versa. Too bad I can’t be a runner without actually having to, you know, run. I like walking, and I can walk a long distance easily. I do. not. enjoy. running. I probably won’t stick with the C25K program, but at least the Podrunner music helped me remember that I enjoy working out to music with a strong beat. Also walked about 10 minutes in addition to the C25K 30 minute walk/jog.
